Freedom Lake Ministries is dedicated to helping men break free from the destructive cycles of addiction and incarceration by fostering a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ. Our discipleship programs provide a spiritual pathway to recovery, mentoring men to discover their greater purpose: to become disciples of Jesus who train and disciple others.

We understand that substance abuse is often a symptom of deeper heart issues. By addressing these core struggles, we help men achieve lasting transformation through the power of Christ’s love.

Freedom Lake Ministries envisions a future where men who have struggled with addiction, homelessness, and hopelessness find renewed purpose and hope through God’s grace and guidance. For seven years, we’ve engaged, equipped, and empowered men to grow spiritually and lead others to Christ.

We have been blessed to minister to and disciple over 2,900 men, with more than 700 baptisms marking their spiritual transformation. These men are provided with the tools to grow in faith, embrace a life of servanthood, and fulfill their divine calling to “go into the world and make disciples” (Matthew 28:18-20). Our mission field is a 328-bed halfway house in Louisville, Kentucky, which includes a six-month drug and alcohol program. With men constantly entering and leaving the system, it operates as a revolving door of opportunity to share God’s love and hope.
