Bridging Mental Wellness, Recovery, and Successful Reentry
Every person deserves the opportunity to heal, build resilience, and create a healthier future.
For many of the men we serve, the journey toward recovery and successful reentry includes overcoming trauma, grief, substance use disorders, family separation, and the emotional challenges of rebuilding life after incarceration. When these needs go unaddressed, they can create barriers to long-term recovery, stability, and successful reintegration.
The Freedom Lake Health & Wellness Resource Center expands our existing work by connecting men with licensed mental health professionals and providing trauma-informed counseling, grief support, mental wellness assessments, emotional wellness education, coping-skills development, recovery resources, and community referrals before and after release.
By beginning support while men are participating in substance abuse treatment at a Louisville correctional reentry facility and continuing that support in the community, we are creating a stronger continuum of care during one of the most vulnerable periods of recovery and reentry.
As the Resource Center grows, services can expand to include peer support, recovery coaching, life skills, family support, wellness programming, and partnerships with behavioral health and community organizations.
Our goal is to help men strengthen their mental wellness, sustain recovery, reconnect with their families, achieve greater stability, and successfully rebuild their lives in the community.
