The Church Within
Where Discipleship Begins
A Church Community Growing Inside Incarceration.
FREEDOM LAKE GOES WHERE THE MEN ARE.
Freedom Lake goes where the men are, bringing Christian community inside the correctional facility to men who cannot simply walk into a traditional church.
Through worship, Biblical discipleship, prayer, fellowship, mentoring, and trusted relationships, men learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. What may begin with a simple invitation can become something much deeper—a new identity in Christ, a new way of living, and a new purpose.
The Church Within is people and community, not a building.
FAITH IS FORMED IN COMMUNITY.
Freedom Lake goes where the men are, bringing Christian community inside the correctional facility to men who cannot simply walk into a traditional church.
Discipleship is more than attending a Bible study or church service.
Through Biblical community and life-on-life discipleship, men learn to live out what they believe, build trusted relationships, develop rhythms of faith, and grow toward spiritual maturity.
DISCIPLESHIP DOESN’T END WITH ONE MAN.
The goal isn’t simply to help a man become a disciple, but to help him become a disciple who makes disciples. As men mature in Christ, they begin investing in others—praying, mentoring, leading, serving, and helping other men follow Jesus.
Being discipled becomes discipling others. That’s how discipleship multiplies.
FROM IDENTITY TO PURPOSE.
For many men, addiction and incarceration have shaped how they see themselves and what they believe is possible for their lives.
The Church Within points men toward a different identity—one rooted in Christ rather than their past. Through the Gospel, Biblical community, mentoring, accountability, and opportunities to lead and serve, men are challenged to develop character, take responsibility, restore relationships, and discover God’s purpose for their lives.
WHAT BEGINS INSIDE DOESN’T HAVE TO END AT RELEASE.
The relationships and Christian community established inside don’t have to end when a man walks out the door.
Freedom Lake’s continuous Discipleship Pathway provides a way for men to remain connected as they move from incarceration into community, continued growth, leadership, and mission.
